For instance, to improve CTR, you can try to improve VCTR (by improving recommendation quality or moving the widget to a place where people's eyes are more likely to focus) or you can improve visibility (by moving the widget to a location higher up the page, rather than burying it below ad units). Similarly, to improve ECTR, you can improve CTR (by recommending items people are more likely to click), or you can improve click engagement (by recommending items people are more likely to stay on once they click).
